Best results on vinyl were obtained by cleaning with lacquer thinner two times, application of viny prep per directions and then 2-3 coats of vinyl paint, not to heavy. Injection molded parts were washed with soap and water, dried, cleaned once with lacquer thinner, rubbed with 600 wet/dry paper, cleaned with lacquer thinner and 3-4 mist coats of flexible primer surfacer and 2-3 coats of vinyl paint.
